Shabbat Ramadan Iftar Interfaith Dinner | 2019
This is the third year the Jacksonville Jewish Center and Atlantic Institute of Jacksonville welcome you to join them for a festive Shabbat Iftar dinner and study program that coincides with the month of Ramadan, a period of elevated sanctity on the Muslim calendar. Chefs from both faiths will be cooking together in the kosher kitchen to prepare a delicious meal to enjoy after the service.
The program will commence with a brief introduction about the meaning of Shabbat and the significance of Ramadan. A study session and dialogue will be facilitated by the synagogue’s clergy as well as members of Atlantic Institute. A musical Kabbalat Shabbat will be followed by Muslim prayer, then a Shabbat and Iftar dinner. We hope you can join us.
