Shabbat Ramadan Interfaith Program
The Jacksonville Jewish Center is welcoming back friends of Atlantic Institute of Jacksonville to join them for a festive Shabbat Iftar dinner and study program that coincides with the month of Ramadan, a period of elevated sanctity on the Muslim calendar.

RSVP: Monday June 4, 2018. There is no costs for this event however reservations are essential.
The program will commence with a brief introduction for Muslim participants about the meaning of Shabbat and for Jewish participants about the significance of Ramadan. A study session and dialogue will be facilitated by the synagogue’s clergy as well as members of Atlantic Institute who are fellows of the Muslim Leadership Initiative sponsored by the Shalom Hartman Institute in Israel. A musical Kabbalat Shabbat will be followed by Muslim prayer, then a Shabbat and Iftar dinner.
The evenings program is as follows:
6 pm - Learning Session
7 pm - Minhah with Musical Kabbalat Shabbat followed by Ma'ariv
8:27pm - Daily Ramadan fast ends and Maghrib (Muslim evening prayer)
8:45pm - Shabbat/Iftar dinner
